One night, on a lonely road, a young architect named David Vincent has a close encounter with a spaceship. He gives his story to the police, but they don’t believe him. Even David’s close friend has trouble accepting the wild tale. David is forced to investigate the matter on his own. His search for the truth leads him to a pair of supposed newlyweds; but the man’s strange hands and glowing skin give him away. Later, David ends up in a small town that is being bought out by mysterious buyers. Most disturbing is the town’s hydroelectric plant, which proves to be the storehouse for some strange clear tubes large enough to encircle a human form.
